Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Whilst our volunteer editors will do their best to ensure our events listings are as up to date and accurate as possible; with the fast pace of how things are changing, it is inevitable that some will slip through the net. If you are planning on travelling for larger events, we would recommend that you contact the venues directly to avoid disappointment. We are putting in place new measures to give event organisers a friendly reminder to see if they wish to remove cancelled events, so we're sorry if it looks a bit bare in here :(

If you, or any of your party have a new persistant cough, or develop a fever of 38C, we would instead advise you to use the NHS's dedicated website for free, professional advice.

Events this Month

Crafting a Future We'd Be Proud to Leave to Future Generations, 4th October 2025, 13:30 to 15:30 at Sutton Courtenay Environmental Education Centre (19.8 miles)
A community crafting session for adults and young people exploring current environmental issues.
A crafting session working together to create community artworks inspired by environmental concerns and hopes. We will be using upcycled material from old tents and clothes to create wall hangings, flags and bunting to bring attention to the urgent need to act to conserve butterflies and other insects in the UK.
This series of sessions also provide the opportunity to discuss any environmental issues that are on your mind with other like-minded people in a supportive atmosphere and seek effective action that we can take as individuals and communities.
All materials are provided, no experience required. Hot drinks and biscuits also provided. The activity will take place inside at Sutton Courtenay Environmental Education Centre. This session is suitable for adults and young people aged 14+, please note under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. This is the third session in the series this year, it will build on ideas and discussions from earlier sessions - new and previous participants equally welcome.
We are committed to keeping our visitors, staff and volunteers safe. Please DO NOT attend if you or your child are unwell, or testing positive for an infectious illness, such as COVID-19. Your consideration is hugely appreciated.
Please note the centre is accessible by public transport with regular buses (including connection to Didcot Parkway railway station) serving Milton Park, a few minutes walk from the centre. Bicycle parking is also available.
Will you help answer nature's SOS call by adding a £5 gift to this booking? You'll help BBOWT bring nature back across our three counties. Please select a donation ticket option if you wish to donate. You can find out more about our Nature Recovery Fund here.
